Middle East Technical University (METU) students and graduates held their graduation ceremonies at Devrim Stadium.
The METU Presidency canceled the graduation ceremony held at the Revolution Stadium in METU for years on the grounds of 'security', and decided to hold the ceremony on separate days and times within the faculties this year.
There were many reactions to this decision of the METU administration, especially university students, academics and graduates.
METU students also announced that they would hold a graduation ceremony at Devrim Stadium on August 6th. Kılıçdaroğlu also shared his social media post last night; “The Rectorate has imposed a 'first degree family relative' restriction on the entrance to the campus. Mr. Kemal takes the precaution in their minds. Do not be afraid, if our students have achieved their goal, there is no need for me to come.”
The ceremony held against the ban by the Rectorate started at the Revolution Stadium.
